Possibly the most disappointing implementation in my career......
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity was bought onboard to give us improved Time and Attendance, Payroll and HR operational support. We were using a very old system for this functionality that was incapable of being used properly without significant manual intervention. We had no usable HR system - it was 100% manual.
Pros
- User interface for employees is excellent
- Allows Managers to monitor and correct employee time
- Full HR employee tracking
Cons
- In my personal experience, Implementation was terrible - almost no understanding of our Pay set-up
- I believe the system build was done incorrectly, leading to significant manual intervention requirements for every payroll so far.
- In my experience, unresponsive implementation and support teams.
- No ability to escalate issues to a higher level when problems became insurmountable.
- I believe it fell well short of all the claims they made during demonstration and early implementation meetings.
- Still having issues with functionality and errors in payroll leading to unpaid, over-paid and under-paid employees
- The time required to complete a payroll has increased since implementation by 30%
- The accuracy of employee paychecks has been questionable and led to rework
- Paylocity's reputation has been hurt by our experience to the point where we are considering a change of vendor.
I believe nothing is working the way it was promised - until that is resolved we cannot claim ANY benefits and the cost has been significantly higher both in terms of the software price and the added time costs.
Payroll needs to work before we can evaluate all the "bells and whistles"
Paylocity looked to have more functionality and looked more useable - unfortunately that appears to have been an illusion!
