Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity as our prime HRIS system for payroll, time and labor, benefits, onboarding, recruitment, performance, compensation, and learning.
  • Intuitive system.
  • Easy to use.
  • One source for all HR needs.
  • Very inflexible with changes.
  • Unable to customize.
  • Lack of follow-up and follow-through.
  • Culture of "no we can't do that".
  • Poor response time on request.
  • Implementation was painful.
  • Better visibility for job postings.
  • Better candidate flow.
  • Better payroll management.
For the most part, Paylocity has been a great tool for us. However, the inability to customize some aspects of performance and payroll has led to the need to find workarounds for some processes. This has caused frustration in my department and with our team.
Having the Paylocity Community has helped as a communication tool. We are not using it for anything other than that purpose.
Paycom has the ability to customize all fields and modules, which is a huge advantage over Paylocity.

Implementation was extremely challenging - we had gone through 3 implementation consultants in a two month period. The lack of customization options is very challenging and makes us need to find workarounds to get what we need to get done. I have had to implement some manual paper tasks in order to make the system work for us.
