Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We utilize Paylocity as our HRIS and for processing payroll. We also use the LMS functionality. We are a not-for-profit organization with approximately 60 employees, many of whom work on the road/remotely. Paylocity is an effective tool to help us reach our employees, share the information needed, and provide our team with resources to support themselves rather than contact someone in the office.

Pros

  • The customer service at Paylocity is fantastic. We've been very pleased.
  • I've enjoyed the demos of new products. Our Account Manager helps ensure I'm aware of offerings that match the needs of our organization.
  • The LMS implementation was quick and easy - it's easy to add new employees to our LMS, too.

Cons

  • The ACA compliance setup has been a bit confusing.
  • Some of the language around documents on the backend is confusing. What does employee/company confidentiality mean?
  • Processing off-cycle payrolls has been a game changer for reimbursements and stipends.
  • The LMS has saved us time and money - it's nice to have everything in one place, especially with the safety bundle.
  • We appreciate that onboarding is easy for our new hires - they typically have very few questions, if any.
It's made our lives a lot easier - we feel that Paylocity has been an effective tool, especially for HR and Finance. While we only use parts of the Paylocity system, the parts that we do use function well and allow us to spend our time focused on other needs of the organization.
We haven't used these tools as of yet - we're a small organization with an HR party of one. These are definitely areas that I'm interested in incorporating in the future, but we're not quite there yet!
Paylocity is significantly easier to use and is much more straightforward than Workday. They offer customer service, and the customer service nearly immediately answers the phone and can help. It is a night and day difference.

Yes

I've worked mainly with a few of Paylocity's competitors, Workday and Paycom. Paylocity's customer service is exceptionally better than that of Workday or Paycom. It's also much easier to use - I was up and running on the platform quickly, and it's intuitive.
