Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for all aspects of HR and payroll. It’s so helpful for recruiting, payroll, and onboarding! The system is great for data insights and does a great job of showing key data points.

Pros

  • Recruiting

Cons

  • The performance module is unusable. It lacks basic functionality. For example if you have to delete or change a goal for a group, you have to do it individually which is time consuming.
  • Reporting lacks the ability to communicate within Paylocity features. So I try to access some data points but can’t without having to create a custom report.
  • Making requests for changes in the system is where suggestions go to die. Requests rarely feel like they will be taken seriously and we always get the response: this is not in the plan for the next 12 months
I feel like they are in the early stages of automation- would love to see more soon.
I think UKG and Paycom are probably better products that Paylocity.

Paylocity is good if you have a very small company size (less than 50). They are not suited to manage large accounts. The system doesn’t seem like it was build to handle large data sets when it comes to reporting and performance
