Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for the total HRIS solution. Recruitment, HR Onboarding, Payroll, Community, Learning, Performance Management, and Document Management. I personally don't do payroll, but I work in most other functions, and the Admin account covers all of it well. We are able to do a lot more with Paylocity than we ever did with Paycom. From what I have seen, I am not aware of any other solutions out there that would be as good as Paylocity.
Pros
- Recruiting
- Onboarding
- Learning
- Document Management
- Performance
- Community
Cons
- Payroll
- Reporting
- Benefits
- reduced Onboarding errors
- our processes are now much more consistent, especially in Recruiting
- Document Library has been a winner.
We have seen a reduction in time spent on many processes in Onboarding and having the organized task list for candidates moves them along as well as being able to text reminders when we need something completed. It is much easier overall to stay in touch with candidates throughout the interviewing and hiring process. The talent pool search is also a time saver.
Additionally, document workflows have been great, I do wish they would remind people automatically until docs are completed, but it's nice to see the dashboard and where we are with their completed document updates.

Our company has used Surveys many times and we like the ease of launching as well as tracking results. We are also fond of the word clouds!
Impressions are nice for managers to see at review time - and we have customized them to correlate with our Core Values so they are much more meaningful.
We do wish that it were somehow easier to increase engagement - this is something we've struggled with. People just don't log in to the app. The rate of participation in Community is still pretty low after a year and a half.

- Paycom and UKG Workforce Central (discontinued)
We thought at the time of evaluations that Paylocity would solve a lot of problems we faced with Paycom and it did for the most part.
We felt that Paylocity looked much more user-friendly than both Paycom and UKG. We did like the reporting functionality of UKGs product, but Paylocity won out with more of the features we were looking for.
