Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I use Paylocity for time keeping and for payroll. The use of Paylocity tracks employees hours and when holidays are in the payroll period it automatically adds the hours employees are to be paid. This can easily be altered if the employee works more or less than 8 hrs. per day. I don't like the updated version of the software for the creating the reports but I will learn how to maneuverer thru the update with a little practice. All in all I do like Paylocity to other payroll software on the market today.

Pros

  • Nice selection of templates in reports to choose from
  • Easy to understand time keeping
  • Expanding how to reach employees on technologic endeavors
  • Having customer service access available when needed

Cons

  • creating reports could be easier to understand
  • easier way to find articles for help
  • reduction of errors
  • consistent payroll process
Paylocity has streamlined a section of the payroll process that frees up time for input of other data like new hires and or insurance benefits. It has also shown me that the payroll reports are processed faster so I can get the required reports out to the administrators of the facilities that much faster.
So far in the year and a half I have been with my company we have not used Community, Peer Recognition, nor any other programs they have added in this time frame. We have the older generation (baby boomers, and a few gen x, not a lot of gen z). Maybe if we are able to expand beyond the generations we currently have we could possibly start to use it.
With all the improvements Paylocity has made over the last couple of years it has really made them the cream of the crop for the Payroll/HR/Finance software to have, and moving forward to bigger and better advancements to come.
Paylocity is similar to ADP and seems to be getting more user friendly than Paycore. I hope that Paylocity continues to innovate and continue moving in the directions in advancements of the technology for an easier transition from paper and ledger books to having everything at the touch of the button.

Yes

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

I had an issue with a garnishment on an employee and customer service rep was able to help me professionally. There have been a few times I have been on the other end of the phone call only to find a rep that was uninterested in my question or my issue. Once I contacted the supervisor all was well again and we no longer have that rep.

I don't think we would change anything. The process was good nothing is ever perfect straight out the gate, you're going to have bumps but overall, we have had great success with Paylocity.
