Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for payroll, performance management and we integrate the payroll with NetSuite. All payroll expenses and cash out is automatically synced. We also use Paylocity to manage our internal training content.

Pros

  • GL Integration - once set up it works perfectly
  • Payroll process - its easy and works
  • Performance management - an easy to use integrated tool

Cons

  • The report writer is not super intuitive.
  • There are some off items with an admin also needing to have a user account. It would be nice to have just one user account that is also an admin.
  • GL integration has saved time and money and it's more accurate than manually posting payroll.
  • Performance Management has saved time as well and help develop employees and long term leads to better retention.
As mentioned the GL tool saved the accounting team tons of time.
We have not used these much, the only shortcomings they may have is that they are not trusted by the employee base. This is not a Paylocity issue however.
A few learning curves but nothing major, it's intuitive overall.
QuickBooks is too basic and lacks functionality.

It works well, no gimmicks, little frill, we just need to pay people on time and effectively, this does that.
