Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for Payroll, Onboarding, Recruiting, Compliance, Expense, and Time & Labor. Previous to starting with Paylocity most of our processes were in house and a bit behind the times. It was a lot of paper going through a lot of hands. This system has improved our processes and given employees easier access to their pay and time off.

Pros

  • Customer Service is friendly and helpful
  • Help function gets me the solution I need quickly
  • Easy to navigate system makes it simple to process payroll

Cons

  • Sometimes it takes several key words to get to the right article in Help
  • Turnaround time on some service requests is very long
  • More consistent processes
  • Improved employee experience
  • Reduced cost
  • Reduced time expenditures
These tools have helped our business reduce wasted time by having all information available with quick access, especially for our companies office managers / administrators who use the program more frequently (daily). We are able to cut out the majority of the pain of remote employee onboarding that we experience pre-Paylocity.
We haven't utilized employee engagement much. We do use Community for sending important information out to employees who are more likely to see the app notification than see an email, which is very helpful.
Paylocity seems very easy to use, and has been very easy to learn new features without needing the help of the service team. It's easy to navigate and try things out.
We selected Paylocity due to the great introduction by our sales representative, David J. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and made sure that we got the best functionality for our business and was by our side every step of the way. Other payroll companies had reached out over the years, with multiple marketing calls and emails that seemed less friendly than the service we have received with Paylocity.

Paylocity makes most processes more efficient. I enjoy the ease of the Payroll function and Onboarding.

Reporting is sometimes difficult to find the correct report, and configuration of the company is hard to get just right (on your own).
