Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
I am the account and HR supervisor. I use Paylocity to have all employees punch in and out, request PTO, and I also run bi-weekly payroll.
Pros
- Time card correction is easily managed.
- Running payroll is an easy process.
- Keeping track of PTO & sick time is a simple process.
Cons
- I would like to see the PFML function (to track employees on state-paid leave).
- I would like reminders when an employee is about to reach their next PTO level (1-3 years, 3-7, 8+).
- Yearly preprogrammed reminder letters to employees to update, address, W-4 & emergency contact info.
- Reducing any payroll errors.
- Reduced time expenditures for processing payroll.
- More consistent report process.
Paylocity's automation tools make it easier to set up employees' schedules and review any punch-in or scheduling anomalies that may have occurred. Logging on and seeing a payroll submission schedule for holidays has been helpful & appreciated. Receiving emails for birthdays and work anniversaries has been a game-changer for us. We can now plan for celebrations accordingly.
I can see in the past that several of the managers used the community page to post notices to all the employees (like donuts in the lunchroom, or employee appreciation lunch will be this Tues @ noon), but for some reason, I can see that it is not being used by managers or employees. The ones that auto-post for birthdays and work anniversaries are nice, but I do not see employees engaging with those posts.
I have recently used and processed HR functions in Paycom. I feel that Paylocity is a much better platform for both employees and managers. The set-up is much more user-friendly and less complicated, so there's less confusion for staff & management. Things are able to be corrected easily and with little effort.
