Overall Satisfaction with Postmark

We've used Postmark for many of the email delivery services of our app. Due to the nature of what Postmark accomplishes, it's primarily used in the development process and deployment of app features that require an email to be sent and tracked. So I guess you could say it's used by our Research and Development team in its execution.

Pros

  • Reliability is a must, and we see this with Postmark.
  • Implementation was easy enough.

Cons

  • Not many cons since it's pretty straightforward, and if email delivery service was often impacted, we'd most likely find a new provider.
  • Password reset emails are almost always delivered.
  • Many of our services are reliant on email delivery, and we have had consistent results with Postmark.
They are a bit different and, in many cases, it makes sense to use both Postmark and Mandrill. Aside from these two, I don't have experience with other email delivery services. Both tend to be extremely reliable and rarely fail to send and deliver emails. Both are well-established companies with excellent customer support teams.
Fortunately, the support is not often needed, but when it is, they are available and ready to dive into your needs and often your customer's needs. It's a bad day when you have to call your email delivery service provider, it means that your own customers most likely are calling your support team, and you're calling to see what the issue is. Postmark makes this process simple, and they own their mistakes. Always nice to see that.

Postmark is suited for those who need a simple and diverse solution for fast email delivery. This could be anything from the actual basic need to execute email, to the robust tracking capabilities of emails opened, click tracking and link tracking. This is super important when your customer is making demands on your support team and not receiving password reset emails. You don't want to be in that situation.
