Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company is using Procore as a GC.

We utilize:
Daily Logs, Submittals, RFIs, Inspections, Observations, Punchlist, Commitments, Prime Contract & Change Orders, PCOs

Pros and Cons

The RFI system is fast. There are a few bugs, but they are being worked on.
Daily Logs are great. I am able to export them in bulk to file as PDFs elsewhere easily. They include much information.
The photos are nice. You can snap photos while looking at a plan sheet and have the photo inserted on the drawing. The photos are easily bulk downloaded if needed.
Customer service is great. When I have had questions I always receive a response. The suggestion section for requesting different items or suggesting a fix for a bug is a great asset.

Using the web based, but not app/mobile based system, you still cannot scroll sequentially through submittals.
The RFI log and submittal log do not take you back to the exact page you were just on. If you are in a submittal, you cannot go back to the previous page. It takes you to page 1 of the entire submittal list unless you specifically had a filter. This is tedious as it should remember where you were and take you directly back.

Return on Investment

Construction software is a large part of our industry. A good system can save lots of time, and therefore money.
It has likely spared us thousands of dollars in lost productivity due to inefficient software by other companies.
