ProCore review from a mid-size firm's COO
Overall Satisfaction with Procore
It is primarily used by our construction project management department and superintendents for all project management needs. Our construction estimating team is beginning to use it for the project bidding process. Our millwork division is beginning to try and use it for their project management needs. The software primarily helps us with maintaining a solid, reliable set of project management standards and procedures that have to be followed by all staff.
Pros
- The user interface is quite beautiful and intuitive in a modern software way similar to social media sites and makes for a software that is easy to use and learn.
- The customer service team behind ProCore is amazing. They are US local, very friendly and intelligent, and hard working, always interested in helping resolve issues.
Cons
- The integration with our accounting software, QuickBooks, is one of their 3 accounting partnerships, but is still in Beta stage and is full of functionality issues.
- When the internet is not available, ProCore does not work and does not duplicate files on local hard drives.
- Saved us tons of money that we haven't measured yet by reducing the time we have had to spend on creating and managing our PM management processes and tools.
- It's not a low cost software, but we have appreciated the simplicity of its pricing structure.
We have only used the above software for the zoomed in needs of scheduling, plan review, and estimating. We have not used any other project management software.
