Implementation Rating

A lot of the older generations are very skeptical of using Procore at first since they think it would be a waste of time and effort but Procore makes it really easy to understand and use most features. It does not take much software knowledge to do basic tasks like look at drawings, photos, RFI's, etc...

Ease of Integration

Procore tries its best to make most of their features very easy to understand and integrate. They have a lot of useful help tools and videos that can help you do anything on the website. It only takes a couple of tries from the user so they can see the value and how they can integrate it into their daily life.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Procore is being used across the whole organization to manage all construction projects. We use it from the start of the project to the finish. We start by uploading the project drawings and sending it out to subcontractors to get bids and then we use it to send out contracts, change orders, RFI's etc. This software is a one-stop shop for project management and it is where we do 90 percent of our tasks.

Pros and Cons

It organizes drawings really well and it is very easy to compare two different versions of the same drawing to see what changed.
It handles change orders very efficiently and quickly.
It has a lot of useful features like measuring plans or inputting comments on plans.

They are constantly changing the software so it is always a learning curve to learn all the new features.
Some of the steps to create a change order can be unnecessarily repetitive.
The way that emails are logged and tracked is not the most efficient.

Collaboration Benefits

Yes, Procore is a great collaboration tool. I have used Procore to create monthly reports that are presented to the Owner and Developer. I have used Procore to give project access to all the onsite subcontractor foreman and superintendents so they can have access to the latest and greatest plans. I have used Procore to send out plan updates to subcontractors in order to get updated pricing and send them a change order.

Alternatives Considered

CMiC Project Management

Procore is similar to CMiC since you can do most of the same tasks but Procore is way more user-friendly and the learning curve to use the software is much smaller than it would be using CMiC.

Likelihood to Recommend

Procore is a great program for most of the project management side. It is really easy to send and track contracts, change orders, drawings, photos, and RFI's. For the most part, it is a one-stop shop that involves all parties of the construction project efficiently. Procore is not the best suited to deal with the project financials and accounting.
