Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Procore is very user-friendly. Even the most hesitant subcontractors and superintendents eventually get on board due to the accessibility to all users.
The transition into Procore was pretty seamless. There are many 'how to' videos for all tabs within Procore, so even if you are unsure, you can easily watch the 2 minute video and be able to proceed as needed.
We use Procore in our project management department. We do contracting, change orders, correspondence, and drawing cataloging.
  • The Drawings tab of Procore is great. You can easily update with drawing revisions and track everything from how many revisions, overlapping revisions, and digital markups within the tool.
  • The Submittal tab is very easy and efficient to work with as well. You can easily upload and distribute to the appropriate reviewers. They can in turn easily create and upload a response.
  • All items uploaded into Procore are easily accessed and date/time stamped. You can see who uploaded what and when. If there is any question about if a particular person received something, you can easily navigate to that item and find this information.
  • My biggest headache has always been with the Transmittal tab. Our company uses this every day on every project. The issue is that you have to know the exact name of the person you are wanting to include or search the entire directory from a drop down box to find them. The reason this is a headache is because on every other area of Procore, you are given a text box to start typing a first name, last name, or company name to locate the person you are wanting. Streamlining this would make the program better for the users.
  • In the Email tab of Procore, you can add as many people from the project that you want, but when one person responds, it responds to ALL people associated in that particular email. This has created multiple problems in the past which prevents us from really utilizing this tab currently.
We have many projects in many states. Procore has allowed our site superintendents and office personnel to keep updated in all areas. Our supers can easily log in and see who is contracted for a particular scope and what exactly is included in that scope. It also allows the office personnel to view their reports and photos on a real time basis.
  • Due to having field and office personnel working in the same program has definitely increased the efficiency of our project management.
  • Having all drawings in one area has made verification of revisions with subs, supers, and project management more efficient.
  • Being able to have architects/engineers using Procore has saved time and made everything more cohesive within a given project.
I think that Procore is best suited for businesses wanting to manage a team/project. We have an owner that we work with a lot and they purchased Procore, but as an owner, Procore is basically for storage on their end vs. project management.
