Overall Satisfaction with Procore
The entire Construction Management team uses Procore. All onsite staff has access to the software. ACI uses a majority of the functions provided by Procore, including a Custom spreadsheet that Procore created for us. The main items used include; Documents, Directory, RFIs, Submittals, Transmittals, Meetings, Drawings, Specifications, Daily Log, Prime Contract, Budget, Commitments, Change Orders, Monthly Reports.
Pros
- RFIs; a central location for the management of RFIs
- Submittals; a central location for the management of submittals
- Meetings; a quality meeting minute tracker.
Cons
- Word processing; the use of text boxes doesn't allow for smooth input of text
This is one of the main benefits of Procore. This cloud-based access and real-time updating are invaluable for a construction project. For each of the project, stakeholders having access to this information at the touch of a button is priceless. This is especially true in the field with the use of the mobile app on a tablet.
- RFIs and Submittal; Having all the RFIs and submittals on Procore eliminate the need to print out each of the hundreds of documents. The distribution feature also eliminates the need to send follow up emails outside of the software.
