Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore is being tested out on two of our larger projects at JET currently. It's being used by all of our trades on those two jobs as well as our subcontractors under JET on those jobs. It bridges the gap between our office and the field with document control.
- RFIs - Very efficient and easy to link to the correct spot on our drawings, built in log, able to assign people for response and assign company who asked the question.
- Automation - Takes a way a lot of the inefficiency with having to forward documents and alert the whole team of changes, instead you create a distribution list for all the people on your project that need to be in the know and it does the rest for you.
- Drawings Tool - The drawings tool is very robust and efficient both in the field and in the office. It's easy to upload revisions for auto revisioning and the OCR makes it even easier.
- A lot of the general contractors we work for don't want to use our tool since we're a subcontractor. Therefore it causes a kink in the document control automation process when you still have to export documents from Procore and manually send them in an email to the general contractor.
- Built in customizable forms would be very handy and the ability to fill out PDFs directly in Procore instead of uploading them.
Viewpoint and Procore are pretty comparable, both very robust products. I haven't used Procore's financial tools so I can't compare them in that way.
We have benefited greatly from our subcontractors, field crew and even office team accessing the documents and drawings from the field. Collaboration is huge and making sure the field has the information instantaneously is a huge benefit in productivity and efficiency.

We aren't currently using any of the financial tools in Procore, but the Project Management modules and Field Productivity are huge for us.
