Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We are a general contractor and use Procore across the entire company. We treat it as the single source of truth for our drawings and current information for all of our projects.
  • It can be used seamlessly across multiple devices including Windows, Android and IOS.
  • Drawing management, RFIs and change management are excellent.
  • Always updating and adding features.
  • Because they are always updating there is a bit of a continuous learning curve. This is hardest on individuals with fewer technical skills.
  • Again, they are always updating and adding new features. For the last two years, the cost of the software has increased quite a bit. In some cases, it seems we are now getting charged for things that were once part of our contract with Procore.
We evaluated a few but used PlanGrid for a couple of projects in their entirety. PlanGrid was great for drawing management and markup, but lacked many project management features at the time we tried it.
We use the system across multiple locations and to collaborate between stakeholders. There is a small learning curve for individuals that have not used it before, but that has been relatively easy to overcome. It definitely helps remove the friction between stakeholder and the field.
  • We definitely save paper and time by using the system. For us as a small company, the ROI is somewhat hard to measure. What we can say for sure is that, overall, this was a very good move for our Company and we continue to find benefits to using it.
  • Gain visibility into projects
  • Ensure information is accessible and up to date
  • Document job site conditions
The drawings, RFIs, photos, and punch lists have all greatly improved in our organization now that we use Procore.
I think it depends on what you are transitioning from. Depending on the current project management software, this could be easier/harder. Also, depending on how much your organization has adopted and used tablets/computers in the field this could be easier/harder.
Definitely suited for general contractors.
