Engineers appreciate it
Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Knowing a contractor is using Procore to manage the construction site is always helpful as an engineer. It lets me know that all of my RFIs and questions will be on one site and they will all come through in predictable formats and methods. I know that sub contractors will have access to the documents quickly and will be working off the same set of plans as every one else.
Pros
- RFI creation and management
- Document tracking
- Product Submission and conversations
Cons
- RFIs that result in another RFI being created still results in a logistical mess
- Tracking conversations and finding meeting minutes can be cumbersome
- I'd love to see better markup of construction documents
- Contractors pay for it, it is included in the price of a bid. But as an engineer I know that a contractor that has paid for this will utilize it well
AI meeting minutes is probably the biggest add-on that we see. It helps knowing that something is taking notes and they do a very good job at it now. There are a variety of them and I think most of the ones that I have seen are able to output a good document.
