Overall Satisfaction with Prophix

Prophix is being used as a reporting tool, we use it to pull data from QuickBooks into the financial tools that allow us to budget and compare actuals as well as forecast. We are currently growing our experience to include more users and expanding from QuickBooks to other financial software. Prophix will allow us to this seamlessly.

Cons

  • Positive ROI, eliminated countless hours on Excel based financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
Our main financial software as of now is QuickBooks, Prophix is the only software we found that would quickly and easily pull the data from QuickBooks including different QuickBooks databases and cross-reference to other third party in-house solutions we were using.
This is extremely important to us because our executive team is often travelling so they need to see the information in both scenaios.
We have had a few support calls and each one was resolved quickly and professionally.
Both products had issues with QuickBooks.
Prophix works well by pulling data from any source including QuickBooks and is capable of combining and re-sorting the data into very useful reports; the reports are user adaptable as the business changes.

Using Prophix

Our executive team and business leaders and staff have benefited from having data much quicker and being to anticipate issues to resolve. It is amazing to have data load and refresh when we need it especially when comparing actuals to prior month year, budget and forecast
Our company has several business lines with similar position so it is fantastic not only to segregate out results from a business line prospective but also from a positional prespective, A prime example would be our Business Development Consultant costs and revenues in one division compared to the same in another has really enabled us to develop better and more effective work practices.
16 - We have accounting, our executive team and the leaders for our business lines as well as the support staff in those lines that use the software.
1 - Currently our controller is our in-house support person that uses prophix. Our main use of Prophix is pulling accounting and statiscal data from our accounting software and our controller is best suited to fullfill that role.

Integrating Prophix

Very impressed with the training to understand so we can create reports ourselves and understand the ones created

The depth of integration was a large project for us being a small office with a small team, however the training was excellent and we were able to walk though at our own pace to develop an insightful understanding

Prophix Reliability

The question of scalability was a due diligence question in looking at this software as a main concern, Prophix provided ways in looking at scalability that we didn't even consider
We have never had an issue with prophix availability
No speed issues on our internal network or the mobile app.
