Overall Satisfaction with Prophix
Southwest Baptist University (SBU) uses Prophix for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. SBU designed its Prophix implementation to supplement reporting gaps in its ERP, and the ability to automate the distribution of reports has been significant. The budgeting timeframe has been greatly reduced since using the platform, and what used to take days to forecast now takes just a couple of hours. Financial analysis used to be a daunting task using only the ERP's reporting capabilities, but now a wide variety of balance sheet or income statement analyses can be churned out in a matter of minutes.

Prior to Prophix, the university used Excel exclusively for its budget processes. After moving to the unified platform that Prophix provides, we are still able to provide budget worksheets that end users can interact with just like Excel, but we no longer need to deal with file versioning, stale data, broken formulas, or corrupt files.

We found Prophix to be more flexible than the other solutions. It proved to have less of an implementation timeframe, and we felt more comfortable supporting the system ourselves post-implementation. We were also surprised to find that Prophix's pricing was more competitive than its rivals, which made the decision process quite easy.
