Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT
Raiser's Edge NXT is used by my organization as a donor management system. We track donors, their giving life-cycle, our actions and cultivation of these donors, and basic giving analysis. Our NXT is used by a variety of departments, including our Gift officers, Donor Management department, our Executive positions, as well as our Finance Department. It addresses the business problems of tracking donor cultivation and external tracking of giving trends.
- Sorts donors
- Tracks actions and cultivation
- Donor Life cycle status
- Giving trends
- Some search functionalities, such as not viewing inactive appeal etc. in the analysis section.
- Not user intuitive if switching between Raiser's Edge database view and Raiser's Edge NXT.
- More options to export lists to Raiser's Edge database view as different types of Queries.
- Operational Efficiency
- Increased revenue from new donors
- Increased revenue from existing donors
- Reduced IT expenditure due to cloud deployment
- Increased scalability due to cloud deployment
While we are still in the beginning stages of using our NXT account, we can see the potential of operational efficiency increases through the various functions of NXT when they are used optimally and in concurrance with the database view of Raiser's Edge. We have not yet seen any increase in donations that can be traced directly back to NXT but we have seen less IT involvement due to the chat function.
We have benefited from the portfolio of products by streamlining our processes and having all of the various functionalities we need available in one place. Through the collaboration of our NXT, BBMS, online express etc. we expect to have everything function well together and give our organization the opportunity to reach our full potential to work in the most efficient way.
We moved from Raiser's Edge database view and were considering going with Salesforce well into the development phase of our transition, but we switched before migrating any large sections of data etc. Working with Blackbaud and NXT, which are focused on the non-profit world are a definitively better product than attempting to adapt a for-profit product to non-profit needs. From terminology to basic functions, there are vast differences that make up deeply important aspects of the products.
