Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT

Raiser's Edge NXT is being used by the development department within my organization. We use Raiser's Edge NXT to record donor information, book payments and pledges and create lists for events and campaigns. The problem it addresses is that it helps us keep our donor contacts organized.
  • Presents donor giving levels
  • Easy to look up personal donor information
  • Easy to pull specific lists
  • The system looks outdated
  • There are too many steps involved in running a query

I have not seen any change in Raiser's Edge NXT since the launch of the new cloud deployment. The Raiser's Edge NXT that I am currently using also doesn't look anything like the tutorial videos and webinars that Blackbaud offers.
We also use ResearchPoint which is another Blackbaud product. I do like to use ResearchPoint in order to look up perspective donors' giving history. It may not be the most accurate, but it does give us an idea of the type of gifts the perspective donor gives.
Before we got Raiser's Edge NXT we were using a previous version of Raiser's Edge.
I would only recommend Raiser's Edge NXT to companies that have a significant donor database. If you are just recording the donor's basic contact information and address then I don't think Raiser's Edge NXT would be useful. On the other hand it is great to be able to record more personal information about the donor and group them into certain categories.
