Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT

I recommended Raiser's Edge NXT because I thought it would be a great tool for everyone who is regualrly communicating with donors. While it is simple to use, most of us are in the Rasier's Edge database for at least 75% of our day, so it doesn't really make sense for us. For a bigger organization, and definitely for MGOs who are meeting with donors, NXT seems great. For us, it hasn't been worth the investment.
  • Log in is simple --- you can log in with Google if you like.
  • Viewing a donor's record is much easier -- one screen instead of clicking through tabs.
  • Creating your daily list of contacts is very simple too. You can even set up alerts.
  • I would like it if we didn't have to switch back to a traditional database. This slows things down -- especially if you're on a mobile phone.
  • For what it does, NXT is just too expensive.
  • Operational Efficiency
  • Increased revenue from new donors
  • Increased revenue from existing donors
Not even close......
I would say no----We thought that NXT would be for many of us a one-stop shop. Instead it's just one more thing to log in and out of that doesn't increase productivity enough to justify the expense. We have found Online Express, which operated right within Raiser's Edge, to be a better investment for our oganization that has us now looking and whether or not we should consider Luminate. If we could replace NXT with Luminate that would be a no-brainer!

We have not used any other CRMs
As I've already commented, for a small organization, this just isn't a worthwhile investement.

Raiser's Edge NXT Implementation

The NXT version we have is fairly introductory so it doesn't offer much. I still spend more time in traditional Raiser's edge, to get the list I want. To get more from NXT, my org would need to spend too much money.

Raiser's Edge NXT Training

I didn't learn anything new
