Overall Satisfaction with Robly

I use it to send emails to our master email list. We use graphics, special fonts, links to blog articles and landing pages on our website. Sometimes we have used surveys. I especially appreciate the reports which give a very good breakdown of which contacts are opening the email and when they open it.

Pros

  • Report on opens
  • Report on receipts
  • Smart send resends the email at times more likely to get a reading.

Cons

  • The Robly editor is not all that good. Its sometimes better to do it elsewhere in HTML and cut and paste
  • Signup forms are doable but not easy
  • links to social networks are present, but other products do this better
  • increased our web traffic
  • Reminded existing customers we are still around
  • I can't really attribute any business to it, but I think it has increased it.
Its very usable, but when you think a feature is supposed to be there, it might not be there and it can be very difficult to confirm that with technical support, which I think is less than great. Depending on what you are using it for will determine the usability. We are mostly using it to drive traffic to our blog articles.
  • Constant Contact
Constant Contact is better known but much more expensive for essentially the same thing. When choosing a tool, you need to consider whether the integrations are important. If they are, Robly might not be the best tool. It is more "stand-alone" than other tools. As far as pure email deliverability, cost, and spam compliance, Robly is great.

So, we have a fairly large email count that is not spam-filled, i.e. it is opt-in.
To send to our list or a subset of the list is pretty easy and we routinely get a 25% open rate which is increased by the smart-send feature. I haven't used the workflow tools and it doesn't integrate well with Hubspot as far as I can tell.
