Overall Satisfaction with Rubrik
Rubrik is used by our entire organization to provide backups to physical servers, virtual servers, NAS shares, O365 mailboxes, and OneDrive. We run a Brik in our production data center and one in our DR data center. Backups are replicated between the two sites. We keep [thirty] days of backups on the Briks then archive off anything more than that to NFS.
- Simple to setup.
- Reliable.
- Clean and easy interface.
- No MySQL backup - must use MySQL dump or other.
- Maintenance can be expensive.
- Lots of cabling required.
- Reduced time spent maintaining [and] updating over Commvault.
- Requires less technical admin to administer.
- Allows for low cost Rubrik Edge VM at smaller sites.
- Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery, Veeam Backup & Replication and Cohesity
At the time, Rubrik had the most focused vision and execution from what we could tell. They had a modern approach and being a newer company, [they] weren't carrying legacy code with them. A single, polished, web GUI that was fast and easy to use was a big differentiator. Setup was simple and we were backing up within [thirty] minutes.
