Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We recently converted from QuickBooks to Intacct in July. We are using the spend management tool, purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable. It has streamlined our processes surrounding all areas significantly and in turn, is saving us time.
We are looking forward to becoming more proficient and seeing what other products and options we have to streamline even more processes.
The use of Sage Intacct has addressed the few internal controls that were lacking and has truly been a great tool for our purchase order/AP process so that our CFO can review his budget feeling confident that the data is correct.

- The purchase order process and how it converts to the vendor invoice has been significantly helpful to our department.
- We are looking forward to getting additional information surrounding the AMEX options. It offers so many benefits for our small department of 3.
- Sage Intacct forces users to use correct accounting entries and skills. We converted from Quickbooks and found that it allows things/entries to be made that are no proper.
- I find it difficult to update items within the AR and AP applications when we are in the same month. If the month is not closed out, I would like to be able to update functions and other dimensions if needed. It seems as though I am forced to make JE's for small corrections.
- Sorting and filtering within the bank reconciliation process could be easier to use or add more functionality. I think these might be coming...
- When we initially implemented Intacct we did not realize the importance of the entity levels. We use 3 different entities and when entering items at the top level became a significant issue for us in our first month. It would be helpful, as a multi-entity company, to have had more emphasis on the levels during the training process.
- Intacct has added additional internal controls.
- Time savings for some of our various tasks on a monthly and yearly basis.
- We have found less errors on date entry due to additional steps being taken from a purchase order and AP standpoint.
In my position I do not have any insight to any of the automated processes.
Unfortunately, I have not used any of these tools.
The user interface is much more friendly. I also feel like the navigation throughout Intacct flows seamlessly.
