Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We are using Sage Intacct as our main accounting system. It’s being used by the entire organization. During this time of social distancing, it has allowed up to continue to work remotely since it’s all in the cloud. In the near future we are looking to further integrate Intacct with our proprietary real estate inventory system.

  • Being on Intacct during the social distancing has been invaluable.
  • It’s allowed our business to continue and complete two external audits from a distance.
We aren’t currently fully utilizing automation but it’s on the agenda for 2020.
We are currently using multi-entity. Using Intacct multi-entity function has allowed us the flexibility to have 6 of our entities in one software. We are able to make intracompany entries with ease as well as develop consolidated financials. We are able to report out to our financial stakeholders on all levels of our organization.
Intacct is truly a full functioning accounting system. It has the internal controls as well as some good self auditing functions built into the system. This for me is what sets it apart from other accounting systems.
I have over 20 years' experience in auditing and accounting and I haven’t worked with another accounting system as well built as Sage Intacct.

COVID-19 Updates & Changes

The complexity of Sage Intacct depends on the complexity of the organization. I give it an "eight" because the complexity of the integration is more based on the organization rather than Intacct itself.
My entire accounting department was able to quickly transition from working on site to working remotely. We were able to complete two audits as well as close the 1st quarter while working remotely. Intacct has allowed us to essentially not miss a beat during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has also initiated conversation about working remotely moving forward to allow better work life balance.
