Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We mostly use Sage Intacct in the Finance and Accounting department. We use it for billing, revenue, general ledger, and reporting. I see firsthand the positive impact this service brings to Relias, especially in the billing and revenue areas. It is fairly easy to use, and we are able to pull reports to show other departments as needed.
  • I like the relative ease of using the product. If I don't know how to do something, then I can usually find a helpful resource.
  • I like the ability to mass upload invoices, which is super helpful as we grow larger and gain more clients.
  • I like how they are always trying to improve with new releases throughout the year.
  • I am not a fan of the new UI. I think the information is not compressed enough (for example, deferred revenue forecast).
  • Support isn't always the fastest. We have had tickets open for a while.
  • A lot of times they require custom work on things that I feel should already be included in the product.
  • It has definitely sped up a lot of processes (for example, bulk invoice upload).
  • It keeps a great history of accounts and can provide ample reporting.
  • We are very positive on Intacct and we are looking into adding contract billing.
I work mostly in the Order Management and Accounts Receivable worlds in Intacct. The bulk invoice upload feature has been incredibly helpful as we have to invoice hundreds of accounts each month. We don't have to do everything manually which allows our team to focus on other aspects of our roles.
As of right now, we only use the multi-entity feature as we have had around 10 acquisitions over the past 5 years. We have easily been able to keep the accounting separate from our different entities. Each one has its own base currency which has helped tremendously when we acquire companies from other countries.
I have used QuickBooks Online at a much smaller company. It was fine for the size of the company, but every process was so manual. I could not imagine being at a bigger company using QuickBooks Online. Sage Intacct meets the Accounting software needs of bigger companies. QuickBooks Online would not be able to match up.
I think Sage Intacct is well suited for most businesses about our size, and it is our go-to accounting software. I think it works well with Salesforce. Salesforce and Intacct have been linked for us for over 5 years, and we have had a lot of success despite a few custom sync hiccups along the way.

I have been involved in different integrations of products within Intacct including 2CP, and they have gone relatively smoothly. Intacct has a marketplace of preferred partners, and 2CP is included there. They both work hand-in-hand and I have been happy with the results. I wasn't a part of Intacct's integration itself, but I look forward to implementing its contract billing.
