Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Sage Intacct is used as our Financial Accounting System of record. We use Sage to provide Financial Reporting, Cash Flow analysis, and Data Entry. We integrate our Bank financial statements, HR platform, T&E platform, Invoicing platform, and Expense platform with Sage. This product addresses our eco system to make sure all revenue and expenses are booked to have an accurate reading on your financial health.

Pros and Cons

Sage integrates with a lot of other platforms
Sage cloud based reporting features are key to understanding state of business

SAGE functionality could use improvement. Organization of cloud based platform slows productivity.
SAGE doesn't have standard integration with BI platforms.
Reporting needs a face lift.

Sage Intacct Automation

We have mixed reviews about the automated core financial processes provided by Sage. Sage lacking the standard integrations have caused us to need more man power than originally thought. Other integrations provided by other firms don't always work as they should. When the automated process does work, which in some scenarios it does, we love the feature. We are converting to a new T&E & Invoicing system to take advantage of the automation feature to provide relief to our back end accounting team.

Sage Intacct Configuration

Configuring Sage to our business was smooth, but not perfect. We did most of the configuring ourselves, with a little help from Sage. Sage was helpful during this configuration and provided great support. Sage has always provided support to us in a timely manner, even if it is something their system does not support, they have worked with us to look for a different solution.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Dynamics SL

Sage Intacct has better features than Microsoft SL. I used SL at a past employee, the system was outdated and didn't offer a lot of features Intacct does. SL was slow and the usability / functionality were not highly rated. Intacct I still believe needs to continue to develop their usability to make it more user friendly, but it is better than SL. The reporting features Intacct provides are much better than SL's.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sage is well suited for small and medium-sized businesses for financial reporting, other products Sage offers we decided not to use due to the lack of capabilities. Particularly the T&E feature. We really like Sage as our accounting platform of choice because of the multiple features it has to offer. We are able to easily split revenue across business lines, depreciate assets on a case-by-case basis, and have visibility into cash flow.
