Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur
We use SAP Concur within my organisation for expenses and credit card management. It is used globally across all teams and allows us to connect our corporate cards to an automatic expense system where we can select all the individual attendees of events and / or process any other credit card expenses with relevant details, adding receipts as relevant.
Pros
- User experience
- Automated notifications
- Integration with HR systems
Cons
- Saved group lists are a bit clunky to edit when managing attendees
- Single sign-on functionality is sometimes blocked/non-responsive
- User experience takes a while to learn, is clean and finance-looking but could be more visually appealing
- Increased spending transparency
- Faster automated expense management
SAP Concur integrates with a number of other systems and softwares that are used within my organisation. At the moment I believe it is connected to Oracle Netsuite ERP finance tool for expense and invoice syncing and our cost center alignment. We are moving to Workday solution for our HR systems and I know this integrates with SAP Concur - I imagine we will be integrating.
I have never used any other expense product except SAP Concur - because I have always been at large corporate organisations where it is a particularly applicable solution that has flexibility, solid UX and integrations that suit the needs of a mid to large size business. I have not evaluated alternative solutions in this area, but I am happy with SAP Concur.
SAP Concur has largely kept our business systems ticking along as normal, I am not really sure that it has helped our organisation to evolve or grow. It has helped us to adapt when we have taken on new HR tools as there are integrations available. As we have gone through a couple of large scale integrations (growing our company +100%) we have benefitted from the fact it integrates with multiple tools.
SAP Concur has helped our overall experience of managing employee business travel and expenses by providing a largely easy UX. The employee experience is positive in terms of integrating with HR systems so you can select individual names to add to group expenses, this is the feature I find particularly useful. For business travel it is good to have it automated and in the system to save time entering some details.

SAP Concur Feature Ratings
Using SAP Concur
I work in a business / organization that is 3000 people. I would estimate that at least 200 or so employees, if not more, have access. This varies between function, department heads and also individual people within the team who might have a corporate credit card to book travel or do admin on behalf of their bosses.
2 - In-house we have a couple of people who are part of our wider Finance department's accounts payable team. I don't know that their full time job is support on SAP Concur but it certainly forms part of their wider job remit and objectives and key results that they report up to the business. They need basic administrative skills.
- Expense management
- Travel management
- Quick, non-contractor costs
- Quick expense management
- Faster payment review vs contractors
- N/A - open to new ideas!
