SAP Crystal Reports is used within our company to design and generate interactive reports from many data sources in a short time and generally knowledge of coding isn't required. The application produces smart reporting that supports making financial decisions within our department.

- Might take awhile to master and programming knowledge may allow bringing the product to the next level

As already stated, some businesses may find SAP Crystal Reports too expensive. While there are cheaper alternatives, it will all depend on your business' specific needs which product to choose. Another factor to consider is, what is the product, the majority of your clients is using. Having an overview over several other BI applications on the market, I am happy our company uses SAP Crystal Reports and I am confident, it will continue to do so in the future.
