Overall Satisfaction with Scale Computing Platform

We are an MSP - so personally we aren't using it, but are actively rolling it out to clients, and we are looking to add DRaaS for our clients.
  • management
  • support
  • creation
  • replication
  • graphics drivers. though KVM based, adding KVM drivers doesn't allow screen resolution changes.
  • UI improvements (list vs cards)
Every call ends up with a resolution. I've never been left hanging.
SQL
AD
File Servers
Web Servers
Application servers.

Performance is exactly as required. I couldn't be happier with the systems. Pricing is a challenge at times, but with alternatives like Proxmox/XCP-NG as alternatives where we need to have the backend knowledge to resolve things ourselves, this is the right choice in our company.
  • we've increased our business 3 fold in the last 18 months. not all attributed to Scale, but the Scale connection has allowed us to branch to new clients easily.
Haven't honestly used it enough to have a solid opinion. We chose Scale because of the introduction from our Vendor, and the connection that we made immediately with our rep (and subsequent reps since). it was an easy relationship, with no requirements for quotas.

Do you think Scale Computing Platform delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Scale Computing Platform's feature set?

Yes

Did Scale Computing Platform live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Scale Computing Platform go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Scale Computing Platform again?

Yes

Anywhere that requires highly available, highly scalable setups. As optics on the client are required prior to quoting, it's difficult to undersell, which is a huge bonus.

User Experience with Scale Computing

It really is easy to use.
we had a deployment recently where no matter what we did, the cluster would not initialize. With the Lenovo-based servers, we had xClarity access (console) for the techs to connect and investigate. After a couple of hours of testing, the engineer found that there were files that needed to be removed that shouldn't have been there (From factory). though it took time, the resolution was immediate once the fix was found. the support team never looked for a reason to push blame to us, and took ownership of the problem immediately.
