Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic

ScienceLogic is used by our IT Operations department. We use it to monitor our network and our system health. We also help clients use the product by providing dashboard visualizations to give them a birds-eye view of their system services and overall health.
  • Monitoring individual devices.
  • Creating notifications based on specific criteria.
  • Provides a great view of the environment, helping with discovery.
  • The interface could use some modernization.
  • Some items in the UI are hidden deep within menus or windows.
  • It has saved us money by providing us insight into issues before they become a problem.
  • We have had to dedicate resources for long periods of time to assist with troubleshooting.
ScienceLogic has made it much easier to discover and monitor devices across our entire infrastructure. This has also been a huge benefit to our clients, as it provides a window into what they do as well. We keep a window open at each employees' station so that they can watch our devices and our infrastructure in near real-time for any issues that may arise.
We are using ScienceLogic to provide hybrid cloud visibility and allow our customers to see what we are doing for them. Since we provide infrastructure services, sometimes the client is not aware of what we are doing in the back end. With ScienceLogic, they can see when a service goes down and when a service comes back up after we are done remediating the issue if there is one.
ScienceLogic is the backbone of our infrastructure monitoring. We base a lot of our reactive and proactive processes around it. We use it to keep track of storage usage, memory, and more. We also use it to alert our team of any issues that VMware may create using the API.
  • The ability to view multi-cloud solutions in a single dashboard.
  • Creating runbook actions to notify our staff or restart services automatically when certain criteria are met.
ScienceLogic does a great job of providing insight into our environment and providing historical information that can be used to proactively make changes to a system before it becomes a problem.
