Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic SL1

ScienceLogic SL1 needs better directions. It needs to make it friendly for first-time users. The thing is, if someone has never seen this before, can they still set it up?
I use ScienceLogic SL1 for network monitoring for different networks, looking at events and logs.
On-Premise Only
  • Monitors well. Anything that pops up is easy to see. We know where something went wrong.
  • Easy. Very easy to navigate and use the interface. The icons show what we are looking for.
  • Alerts are right. It doesn’t give out wrong information or tell us wrong stuff.
  • Better directions. Installing it was a problem because it was my first time doing it. I followed the directions but sometimes it was confusing.
  • More friendly for first time users. Again with the directions and knowing how to properly set it up would’ve helped.
  • Have more steps on how to set it up. Maybe a person could brief you on what you got and be able to come to you to help set up.

  • Save time. Yes there are times it does save time. This is cause it shows you all the issues instead of us having to go into it to look.
  • Better visibility. Can see all the issues and what’s going on with it on the dashboard.
ScienceLogic SL1 is a great addition. I haven’t used the other ones, but it seems like SL1 does offer more in terms of network monitoring.
ScienceLogic SL1 is highly appropriate when I need logs to see what is happening in my network. It shows me the appropriate and applicable things I need to see if my network is running and is good. If someone needs something to watch their network, then this does it.
