Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect
It is being used by me, the Director of IT, to support client machines at multiple remote locations. It keeps travel to a minimum and the response time quick. It also helps to perform maintenance on the machines after hours and by having this remote ability, makes any and all work performed on the machines that much easier.
Pros
- Quick remote access
- Messaging and screen drawing are a plus
- Shows the specs of the remote computer
Cons
- Needs ability to easily remove the screen preview of the client for security
- Two step security login would be nice
- Would be nice if the messenger would automatically pop up on the client PC screen instead of minimized
- Less travel
- Faster software rollouts
- Quick connection time
In the past I have used ShowMYPC, GoToMyPC, and Teamviewer. ScreenConnect is by far the most robust solution and offers more bang for buck. The plethora of options on ScreenConnect are way more than what the competitors offer. The cost of ScreenConnect is very competitive and definitely easier to manage.
