We use Semrush to monitor our SEO and social presence, as well as our competitors'. We are a small organization, with a reduced marketing team, so automating the monitoring and reporting is of great value to us, as we don't have time to do it ourselves and sometimes don't even access the platform to look at everything.

I also evaluated a startup called Zeeng, which was a great option but didn't cover English at the time. Semrush was a more complete tool when it comes to manage all of your SEO and Digital presence, and also had a much easier setup/onboarding process than Similarweb, which made me choose them.

I think Semrush is critical for companies with larger teams and a strong digital and social strategy. Semrush can help these companies not only monitor results, but also benchmark competitors, discover trends, issues, and opportunities. It automates a lot of work that would otherwise be manual and leaves space for more strategic tasks. For smaller companies it can also be very helpful in a perspective of monitoring everything so you can know of any issues even if you don't have a team.
