Most e-commerce platforms are either expensive, complicated or both. Shopify is easy to use for our customers and covers most small business e-commerce operational requirements, either as built-in features or as third party apps. These apps cover features, such as inventory management, fulfillment, marketing and more. Shopify helps us deliver an efficient, beautiful and easy to use e-commerce platform.
- Easy to use interface for the small business user.
- Many built-in features and apps that cover almost any aspect of e-commerce operation and marketing.
- Excellent customer service.
- Cloud based. No need for hosting and maintenance.
- For businesses with special e-commerce requirements, Shopify may not be the best choice.
- Checkout customization is limited.
- Limited ability for dynamic pricing.

We have used Magento for higher end projects. Magento is open source and therefore has better customization capabilities. Shopify on the other had, is more user-friendly, more cost effective and has superior customer service, which some Magento versions don't have at all. Overall we find that Shopify is a better e-commerce platform for most businesses.
