Overall Satisfaction with Skype
I use Skype everyday to work with my partners (fixing issues in our business or developing new projects). I use it 70% during the week by sending instant messages and 30% of the time using voice call. It saves me time instead of having to write emails.
- Very good audio quality
- No lag
- File Sharing feature
- Good camera image quality
- Screen Sharing feature
- Multiple users in the same call (conference call)
- Sharing a screen is sometimes buggy (freezes or doesn't load).
- Missing a feature for remote control like TeamViewer [has].
- Skype phone call rates are expensive compared to other VOIP providers.
- It saves me times and money to work with my partners. I send less emails and save money using the call feature.
- As the sharing screen is buggy, I have to use TeamViewer to work on screen sharing.
- As it's available for several devices, I use it most of the time on my laptop but when I have to move and need to be reachable, I use it on my Android phone.
I use TeamViewer because the sharing screen feature of Skype is buggy. Also, sometimes I need to remote control my partners' screen to fix some issues they have when developing some code (HTML, PHP or JavaScript).
