Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business

Skype for business has been especially useful for my freelance work as a Financial Administrator. It is the primary channel of communication between me and the rest of the team, based in Barcelona, Spain. Skype for Business is incredibly easy to use and online meetings with increasing number of members have never been simper. Me and my virtual colleagues use it from our PCs, tablets and phones for instant messaging and video conferencing. And I don't even need to be in the office or in the same country.

  • Microsoft Office shows if my colleagues are working on the same document
  • Wonderful for sharing your screen, presenting and hosting calls
  • Ability to share files
  • Video performance and sound shaky at times but not very often
  • The software needs improvement on mobile devices
  • Good value for money, considering the many options you get, the availability on devices and the integration with other software
  • Good return on investment, considering it improved by far the communication within the team
The choice for Skype For Business against the competition (CiscoWebEx, GoToMeeting) was made due to the lower price of the former. And it was worth it. All my colleagues enjoy using Skype on a daily basis.
Skype for Business is well suited for many businesses that can't afford more expensive software. Me and my colleagues use it to communicate and discuss important matters on a daily basis.
