Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business (formerly Lync)

It helps us communicate with other employees. We use a phone line system so It makes it easy to see who is in a call and who is not. It saves us time and helps us become efficient with handling a high volume of phone calls. It also allows us to see who is here in the office and who is not since we are all located in different parts of the building. Overall a very useful office tool.
  • Lets me know who is here.
  • Lets me know who is in a call.
  • Allows me to quickly talk to my coworkers if they are on the phone but I need to speak with them.
  • The picture icons could be bigger.
  • The Skype tone should be customizable.
  • Should let you know when their line is ringing.
  • Positive- makes work easier.
  • Positive- makes my work more efficient.
  • Positive- makes things fun.
I've just used regular Skype which is a lot different and more for the every day use since you can send emoticons and gifs, etc. I prefer Skype for Business because it's concise and to the point.
Because it makes life at work easier and is just a quick and easy way to find out the info you need.

Would you buy Skype for Business, now part of Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

Skype is well suited for when you are in an office and need to know which coworkers are available and which ones are not. It lets you see which ones are on the phone or even away from their desk.

It isn't suitable for an everyday use just to chat. It isn't designed for that. It's to make the work space an easier place to communicate.
