Overall Satisfaction with Slack

Slack is being used by our entire organization to stay up-to-date on company/office-related items. We also use Slack on our team for quick updates. Slack has also been great to increase communication between the sales and marketing teams for one-off questions or support requests.

Pros

  • Allowing team members to stay in close communication.
  • Allowing employees to ask questions that can be answered quickly.
  • Allowing employees to connect on non-work-related items (improves company culture and morale).

Cons

  • Possibly include more training opportunities for users.
  • Improved integrations with other software.
  • It's difficult to determine ROI, but it overall helps increase productivity among our team and the company.
  • Increases communication and allows questions to be answered quickly rather than hitting a bottleneck.
Slack is extremely easy to use and seems to clearly be the industry leader. Slack has a TON of very useful integrations (Google Drive, Asana, etc), so everything can live in one place rather than having to check every app for updates. It helps us stay organized and be more efficient as a team.
Slack has been great to use and is an integral part of our team and company's functionality. It's better suited for quick check-ins and questions rather than more complex questions that require a more in-depth answer that would be better suited for an email or in-person meeting. This is ultimately up to the user to determine, though.
