Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use slack to chat with my team, share documents etc. I also use to get help in slack channels which is really great. I feel we all are connected and can get help whenever needed. I use it because it is very fast communication tool as compare to email conversation. I use it to call my teammates as well.

Pros and Cons

Slack is very light and handy to use.
We can share image and chat very fast.
Slack provides Slack channels which are very useful when we need some help from the developer community of our organization.

The UI of Slack can be made better by adding some transition features.
I cannot broadcast message in Slack.
The Slack takes bit more time to load when started.

Return on Investment

Slack makes communication fast
It makes job easy as we can get fast help from anybody in team and other community in the company
Anyone can talk on call with it fast just like any other VOIP call.

Usability

I give full rating because Slack serves its purpose of communication very well. It provides all necessary functions which are required for communication in the organization.

Support Rating

I got very good support from Slack and would like to use this product more and more.

Alternatives Considered

Google Hangouts and Facebook for Business

Slack is very light application and very easy to use.
It requires no effort in getting used to slack.

Likelihood to Recommend

Slack is well suited in a team environment and the whole team is not close to each other. If you want to send some message and expect very quick reply slack is very useful. Also fast sharing of images and other documents is possible through slack.
When you want to send some confidential message I think slack is not proper as it has not shown any security features like encryption
