Overall Satisfaction with Slack

Slack is one of the top communication apps used in my organization. With Slack we get day-to-day notifications regarding new joining, new happenings, or either it be any documents to be shared with the whole team. For particularly my team it is used for formal messaging as if someone is on leave or someone is leaving due to urgency. We update it on slack.

Pros

  • Document delivery.
  • Messaging to various people at once.
  • Using 3rd party apps integration.

Cons

  • It lags sometime. I don't know what particular thing makes it lag.
  • Hard to use, as it contains many feature which are difficult to understand.
  • More proper documentation or lectures for learning this app.
  • Main feature is time saving and in today's world time is money.
  • In my organization previously 2 3 different software were used, but now most of the work is handled by slack thus saving 70%.
  • Integration is one of the best feature thus saving time scrolling different apps.
The main feature that keeps Slack above them all is the integration of various apps. One can never fully understand how many apps you can integrate with slack and make your professional life a lot simpler. Another important point is the price at which Slack is offered. It is one of the cheapest of all. Although many free options are also available in paid, it is best.

Google Chat, Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts (Classic)
It is well suited in small organizations and less suited in bigger organizations. On a large scale, it becomes a bit confusing to use this app. For small organization rates at which it is offered is also viable. If proper understanding is not there then it is difficult to use. So a person who tends to learn should use this app.
