Overall Satisfaction with Slack
We use it to structure our communication and find all relevant communication in specific places. We use Slack channels per projects, we bookmark important links in the channels, we use the canvas to keep notes and talking points for the specific teams or projects we're working on and it's also useful to be able to go back to previous projects and see what the conversations were about.
Pros
- Structured the communication
- Group relevant things together and help communicate with the teams
- Automated communications
- Integration with other relevant apps
Cons
- It's hard to keep the Slack channels clean
- Lack of video call and online workspace apps integration
- I've been able to easily find old project channels and find great insights from back then that I wouldn't have beforehand
- Everyone knows where to find all relevant documents and links since we bookmark them so it saves tons of time for people
- Project channels are super useful since by messaging on those channels everyone is already aware what the message is about
