Overall Satisfaction with Slack
My organization uses Slack as a communication tool. Group messages, individual messages, channels specific to teams.
We use this communication tool to ask questions interdepartmentally. For example, the Sales team might use our Product Knowledge channel to ask the Product Line team about limitations for a specific product.
Recently, we began automating Queue Updates for our art teams, saving 5-10 minutes daily coming up with the data to then email to the full team.

Pros
- Channels - creating specific channels for their use helps keep things organized.
- Google Calendar integration - super helpful to know when someone is in a meeting/available
- Threads - I use this to keep questions/answers organized within channels. So that nothing get missed.
Cons
- Notifying when someone has logged on/off, perhaps when you star that person.
- I'm not sure if Slack has helped in situations related to this question.
I'm not a huge fan of Microsoft in general, I utilize Google and Slack more for my day to day.
