Overall Satisfaction with Slack

All the communication is being handled by Slack. We have groups per teams, private channels, client communications, official announcements, automations, workflows. Also, the IT ticketing system is done through Slack, so if my pc breaks I can inform easily and get support. I personally use it to manage my time and also I create private channels to keep track of personal matters

Pros

  • Channels, easy to manage
  • Automation, workflows make daily tasks easier
  • Confindentiality, easy way to keep thing private
  • Team communications, reactions, emoji, giphy, make all smooth

Cons

  • Image size on posts, is very clumsy
  • Workflows should have contiditonals (if-then)
  • more personalization
  • Saving time by 50% i think
  • Easier management of tasks
  • centralized coms into a single app
Workflow and automations could be greatly improve to become a very powerful tool. In the past, Slack said it was working on conditional logic for the workflows but failed to implement them, we as a community have been waiting for this functions natively for years now
not even a competition with whatsapp or lotus notes, but could learn a thing or 2 about Discord automation capabilities

seamless communication and transition between desktop and mobile. This is so good, I almost all the time send myself messages from my phone to my own chat in the desktop to use Slack as a sort of dropping box when I need to transfer stuff from mobile to desktop and desktop to mobile. Easier than storage apps and faster

Yes - Lotus Notes by IBM
