Team Tool for any organisation size.
Overall Satisfaction with Slack
Initially, we used Skype for communication, but it was not very professional. Then, we moved to Slack as our team grew, and there were requirements from clients to collaborate over Slack for project development and communication. As of now, we're using Slack for project collaboration and using channels specific to projects to manage the team with other tools.
Pros
- Chat and replies on chat are something I really like. You just need to click on the reply button, and it will list all the replies, unlike others, where you will be moved to the replied comment or chat.
- Lightweight application and available on all major operating systems.
- Huddle is quite helpful for screen sharing, voice calls and video calls.
- Easy to invite and collaborate with new team members and guest uses.
Cons
- Sometimes I feel the user interface is very simple and the fonts don't go with the User Interface.
- Slack improved our team and customer communication which has definitely increased out productivity.
- Microsoft Teams and Skype (discontinued)
Teams is not available officially for Linux.
