Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Pingdom
We use Pingdom for 24x7 monitoring of our Online Platform. The reporting that Pingdom provides is also shared with Customers as required to show compliance with our published SLAs.
Pingdom provides an easy-to-use interface to configure alerts, set up SSL expiry notifications and configure complex health checks. The Root Cause Analysis Wizard comes in handy to get a handle on potential causes of the service outage

- Ease of configuring a basic alert
- Setup of SSL Expiry Threshold Alerts
- Capability to publish an Uptime Report URL link to share with Customers
- Capability to audit TLS/SSL and Cipher Suite configurations and providing warnings
- Include OWASP TOP TEN Analysis Capability
- Support for Web Application Scanning of Website
- Improved Response Time Handling of Service Outages and Disruptions
- Engineers are able to triage issues more efficiently
- Easy to calculate Uptime SLA using Pingdom Reports
- PRTG Network Monitor was a far more complicated tool to use and set up albeit it does both Internal and External monitoring. The setup wasn't intuitive and there are too many configuration options to complete to form an alert
- Amazon CloudWatch is specific to AWS resources and cannot be easily use outside of the AWS Ecosystem
