Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My company provides IT services for several agencies in East Tennessee. Splashtop allows us to be instantly available for any support questions that may arise. We also can remote in and do updates during the evening. Even better, it has endpoint security so I know when a customer gets a virus or malware and can be proactive on my remedies. During Covid, I was able to use Splashtop as a work-at-home solution for my customers that sent employees home. I shared access from my account and was able to control when users had access to their computers and had logs of when they actually accessed their work computers.

Pros and Cons

SOS support for when someone is on an unfamiliar computer, I can offers support
Remote access for managing servers in the evening when clients are not in office
I can use SOS to see IOS device screens and walk clients through issues on these devices

I know it's not possible, but would love to be able to remotely run an IOS device

Return on Investment

I consider Splashtop a profit center for my company. I can offer support to multiple clients at the same time without the delay of driving to their offices, and having them wait for me to arrive.

Support Rating

I've never had to contact Splashtop for assistance. It just works.

Splashtop Security

Splashtop has been approved by my contact at the US DOJ, as I support clients within the US Trustee's system. The two factor authentication is great, as I have all approval requests for login come to my email, so I know whenever anybody is using the system.

Onboarding with Splashtop

It has been several years ago that I started using Splashtop. As I remember, I came from LogMeIn, which was just getting crazy expensive, but when I did the switch, I was done within two days. I support over 100 computers, so a lot of it was just getting the users to give me time to switch them over.

Remote support for techs, and remote access for users. It even does multiple screens, so you can setup three monitors in office, then three monitors remotely, and completely mirror the computer that is being accessed, this is awesome when someone needs to work remotely.
