Splashtop is Great
Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
I use Splashtop to help manage about 100 client computers. I do monthly or quarterly maintenance on them remotely when the clients are not at work. It simply works. That's the main thing. The other thing I like is that it doesn't have any surprises, like big price jumps or failures. I have a few clients who prefer using their quick support, where they want to be there and provide me with a 9-digit code to access their computer.
In addition, I also use it to set up many of my clients so they can work remotely. It is a simple, secure way for them to do some of their work from home.

Pros
- It allows clients to download a customized version with my logo and information.
- It consistently provides access to client computers, which is fast and secure.
- The pricing is consistent and over several years hasn't changed.
- It also provides a program for my clients to use to remotely access their computers from home.
Cons
- I don't know how this could be done, but the biggest problem I have is with clients who have dual monitors. I also have 2 monitors. I use one for work on my client's computer and the other to fill out a check list and take notes. I often have a problem because I don't know when the client's program I'm running opens on their other screen. I'd like to have a beep or something for when a program is started from one screen but opens on another client screen. It is easy enough to switch screens, but it can take me awhile to realize the program opened on the screen I'm not seeing and my desk doesn't have room for 3 screens.
- ROI? You cannot be a computer consultant without providing remote access. This is a simple clean remote access solution that works better than any other I've seen.
- This is also the best solution I've found for allowing my clients to work from home sometimes. I don't have a ROI for giving good advice to clients that helps them work and satisfies them, but after over 40 years in business, it seems a good idea.
This is simply the best option I've found.
Yes - Teamviewer for many years and some others before that. I've been doing some kinds of remote access for many many years and Splashtop is the best I've found and is reasonably priced.
